Social Media, Content and Communities

Content is king. That’s the wisdom behind the social web. “Content” is more than writing, images or video. It’s a comprehensive strategy that invites participation. The principle is an old one, but one we’re rediscovering. Entertainment has evolved from a broadcast model to one based on continuity and fan participation. One of the great things about working in RPGs is that it’s a field where we’ve been aware of these issues for some time. Taking these ideas from that interactive medium to newer ones has been a lot of fun.
